Join the fight against the planned Disability Cuts.

The Government is planning huge cuts to disability benefits. Around £5 billion will be taken from the benefits that disabled people rely on, like Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and the health component of Universal Credit (UC).
Many disabled people are worried about how these cuts will affect us.
The government has announced many planned changes, including:
– A new “4 point rule” – so that people who do not score 4 points on any of the daily living descriptors will lose their whole daily living element, even if their overall score is high
– No PIP for 18-21 year olds
– PIP used as a “passport” to other benefits, including the Limited Capacity for Work Related Activity element of Universal Credit
– More job-seeking expected, even for some people who are ill
– Extra support for a minority of disabled people
MPs will vote on the cuts and other changes in June.
We need more MPs to vote “no” than “yes”.
Don’t panic… Act!

It is important to say that these are just plans at the moment – no cuts have actually happened yet. But many disabled people want to take action NOW, to make the government change its plans, so the cuts never happen.
