Get Involved
KiNETIC is for disabled adults living in Kirklees. It is also for staff, volunteers and trustees from any community group, charity or social enterprise in Kirklees that works with or supports disabled people in Kirklees.
We are a constituted group, and our committee is a mixture of representatives from local groups like Outlookers, Callaloo Carnival Arts, Mencap in Kirklees, Howlands and Experience Community and local disabled people.
The network is supported by TSL Kirklees and Kirklees Council.

There are 5 ways to get involved:
1. Join the network
We will email you a few times a year to let you know when the next network meeting is and tell you about news and campaigns.
2. Come to a Network Meeting
Our meetings are 3 or 4 times a year. Some are in real life and some are on Zoom. If you join the network, we’ll email you to let you know when they are. You can see when the next meeting is below and book your place.

3. Give your views
We want to help have your say on places and services that are important to you and how they can be improved to suit your particular needs. You can see the latest consultations about things like transport, hospitals and changes to town centres and council services here.
4. Start a campaign or discussion
You can come along to a network meeting and share about things that bother you or issues that you have. You can also register on this website and start a discussion with other network members.
5. List your group or activity
Local organisations that offer groups, support and activities for disabled people can register to list themselves in our directory, and add details of their events and activities on this website.
